Welcome to the world of LALALULA
We create modern skincare for teens - intentionally formulated from the best natural ingredients in collaboration with world class cosmetic scientists. Skincare inspired by my teenage daughter’s love of beauty, ritual and care of the planet.
Meet owner & Creative Director:
Yarah David.
Hi. My name is Yarah. I am the founder and Creative Director of LalaLula.
I started Lalalula to fill a gap I saw in the skincare offerings for young adults. A skincare craze had started gaining pace in 2023 with a young demographic who were being led towards aspirational premium skincare only to find these brands were not designed for them. I was first introduced to the problem when my 11 year old daughter wanted to buy a serum she had seen trending on Tik Tok. After some research I discovered not only would this product not really work for her, but it contained ingredients that were potentially harmful to young skin. Fast forward 16 months and we’ve created a brand teens deserve - effective skincare with the best natural ingredients packaged in a way that appeals to their keen aspirational aesthetic.

What we leave out.
Parabens, mineral oils & microplastic particles - Paraben phthalates can disrupt the endocrine system (that builds the brain, bones, blood and reproductive and immune systems) and have also been linked to cancer and reproductive toxicity.
PEG’S - Polyethylene glycols - are petroleum-based compounds that are widely used in cosmetics as thickeners, solvents, softeners, and moisture-carriers. The International Agency for Research on Cancer classifies ethylene oxide as a known human carcinogen and 1,4-dioxane as a possible human carcinogen.
Dyes - the skin is your body's largest organ! — Potentially harmful effects of dyes include neurotoxicity, cancer risk, skin irritation, rash, eczema, and hyper-pigmentation.
Silicones - Silica has been linked to lung cancer and respiratory problems.
Perfume - the only fragrance in our products comes from the natural essential oils and botanical ingredients.
SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) - due to its oil- and skin-stripping properties, it may clog pores and cause acne for people with sensitive or acne-prone skin.
Toluene - irritating to the skin, eyes, and respiratory tract. It can cause systemic toxicity by ingestion or inhalation.
Formaldehyde - (used to rid products of bacteria and prolong shelf life) causes irritation to the eyes, nose, throat, and skin, as well as allergic contact dermatitis.
How we formulate.
Drawing inspiration from the ancient wisdom of Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine our exceptional skincare is formulated using herbs and botanicals that support pre-mature skin going through key hormonal changes. Did you know some plants offer natural protection against UV damage? Or that Evening Primrose can be used to support the balance of hormonal activity? Wow!
All natural - no toxins - Lalalula offers an intentional approach to skincare; addressing both external and internal factors to empower young adults to take care of Skin, Mind & Planet. At Lalalula we only use natural or plant derived ingredients (with safe synthetic preservatives at an inclusion level of less than 3%) and avoid all synthetic ingredients which may contain hazards particularly damaging for pre-mature skin.
We love botanical ingredients for the effective benefits they offer skincare. Plant bioactive ingredients have been relied on for thousands of years in traditional skincare recipes passed down from mother to daughter for generations.
All our skincare formulas are 100% vegan and cruelty free at all stages of the development and manufacturing process.
Why we think ‘Clean’ Beauty is the future.
As a brand we are forward thinking. It is obvious to us that Clean Beauty: products that are safe for you and the environment and formulated without toxins or petrochemicals, is the future of skincare and especially important for young skin that is still going through key hormonal changes. Despite the term clean being unregulated we use it in the strictest sense and are intentionally transparent; listing every ingredient (no hidden parfum) and placing as much focus on what is in our products as what is not in them.
Packaging considerations.
Sustainability is a priority for Lalalula.
Packaging materials are vital for skincare products but it is important to LalaLula to make thoughtful choices which is why we use glass for our bottles and utilise the concept of refill cartridges (for creams and serums) to mitigate against single use packaging. Our boxes are made from sustainably sourced paper product printed with eco-friendly water based inks.
